Magdalena Budzińska
Magdalena Budzińska – artist, psychologist. Works and lives in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Her works are a combination of two fascinations – admiration of the human mind and art. She made her debut at the age of 15 at the International Competition for Young Artists in Tokyo. Out of 61,000 paintings sent from 81 countries around the world, she won a special award – Super Gold Medal. The following years brought more national awards. With time, the fascination with human turned into deeper studies, in the field of psychology. In 2004, she defended her diploma at the Institute of Psychology at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz (Poland). It was the beginning of a new perception of reality and new approach to art.
„… Studies of man, on the one hand, sharpen sensitivity to the changes occurring inside, and on the other hand, they help us get distance to the events surrounding us. This gives you the opportunity to create art through the prism of human emotions (…) The canvas then becomes an artistic record of the desires, fears and experiences of an individual – it becomes his or her inner portrait …”
The artist combines artistic sensitivity with social empathy in an outstanding way. Her work is a phenomenal visualization of human emotions and feelings. It is a gallery of emotions captured on canvas – you will easily find a part of yourself in it.
